Landlord-tenant Law

LANDLORD:

Landlords are people that own the property and then lease (or rent) that property to another (who is called the tenant). There is usually a written contract describing this landlord-tenant relationship which is normally called a 'lease' contract.

The attorneys at Beavers Law, P.C. can help with the initial design or changes to an existing lease contract.

We can also help when things don't go the way you expected, which usually means that the rent was not paid as agreed.

TENANT:

On the other side of the lease contract, there is the tenant, who is the person who is paying the landlord for the right to possess (or work or live in) the property.

The attorneys at Beavers Law, P.C. can also help tenants with a review of a lease contract that has been presented by the landlord and we can often suggest possible changes. Even if there are no changes to be made to the lease contract, we can often help explain what the lease actually means and what can happen if certain things are or are not done.

In the situation where the property is rented, but there are problems of some sort, we can often assist the tenant in their dispute with the landlord.
